ISKCON is famously known as kitchen religion for its extensive annadaan. Our Founder Acharya Srila Prabhupada instructed all the temples to feed people around the temple and no one goes hungry in the vicinity of the temple. ISKCON has served 300 crore meals so far around the world and over 76 crore meals since COVID19 lockdown. By far, ISKCON conducts the largest vegetarian free food distribution program across the world.

We have to see that nobody goes hungry within a 10-mile radius. The temple is the house of God. God is everyone's father. So in the presence of the father, the son doesn't go hungry. So we have to make an arrangement that people get fed" - Srila Prabhupada
